  1. I finally got a look at mini Orlando on a proper sized screen. Sharon, seriously, what planet are you from? Your talent amazes me. So bleeping adorable! {You’ve got me swearing} The detail is phenomenal! I love your purple fluffy hearts, too!

  2. Thank you Patricia. I had such enjoyment matching the color of Orlando. He is a ginger tabby Maine coon with a very bushy, fluffy tail. I used a variety of yarns weaved together and I was hugging myself with the way it worked out. 😀

  3. Happy belated Valentine’s Day to you, Sharon! I just love your maine coon “Orlando” – he is fantastic!! As a total lover of cats – he even looks JUST like a maine coon! As I’ve recently returned home from a short “holiday” also – I’m envious of your lovely warm weather and visits to the beach!! As ever, I’m enjoying reading your blog and seeing all your latest pieces. The knitted hearts are quite lovely too!

  4. Happy late Valentines Day my sweet Auntie Sharon. It was a whirlwind of days passing here in the south. I need my normal back 🙂 XOXO – Bacon

  5. Oh what country are you in? The time differences make my head hurt sometimes. LOL!
Thanks for liking Orlando. You would be good at making mini me’s because you (like me) use a crochet hook a bit like some people use a paintbrush. Fair Dinkum! I have watched and enjoyed your work on your blog. 🙂

  6. Thanks merbear, he says you are very cute too! Have a lovely day with your husband and baby B and your puppy. Ahh, now I have to look her name up. madge? No it is Maggie! 🙂

  7. Thanks and love to you from both of us. He has a nice singing voice and has been chosen for his school production. I am so happy to hear him sing!!! )sniff)

  8. wow ! what perfect holiday … sun, sand, beach, and crochet !! your orlando is such a cutie 🙂 Happy Valentine’s day although I am guessing it is 15th feb now for you there …it is 10 mins to midnight here !!

  9. What a lovely post 🙂 AND happy Valentines day to you 🙂 that is the cutest cat!! love it ..I must try and get to pick up a needle again…I forgot how to crochet…I taught myself to knit and cook and sew and crochet but it has been so long….your pictures inspire me 🙂 hugs Fozziemum xxx

  10. Thanks 🙂 The crocheting (I hope I spelled that right lol) has been relaxing for me too. Takes just enough focus to take my mind off of my struggles and stress, but not so much focus that it gives me a headache or keeps me from being able to still watch and interact with the kids. 🙂

I will be trying to get a picture of it when I am done so I can share it, but that’s definitely going to be a while. lol I bit off a pretty big project I guess, but I believe I am up to it. 🙂 Besides, I should have a pretty decent single crochet stitch by the time this is done. It’s already greatly improved as it is. 🙂

  11. Oh I am so glad you have the opportunity to do some crochet. Let me know if you need any help or hints, SC makes a good stitch for a blanket! 🙂

  12. Still say that little cat is adorable! Love your little critters 🙂 Those hearts are pretty cool too. 😀

I finally have found a chance to pick my crochet needle back up again and am making a small blanket for my kids with some rainbow colored yarn I found. It’s helping me get the hang of the single crochet stitch (still struggling quite a bit with the double crochet though). 🙂 I originally wasn’t planning a blanket, but realized I made my first chain way too long and didn’t want to pull it all out so I just decided to go with it. lol Maybe I will be done in time to include it in our second art show in May? haha

Hope you have a great Valentine’s Day 🙂

  13. awww! Thanks Pauline, I like to think all my critters have a bit of aussie magic in them. It was a great place to make little O and I got lots of encouragement and suggestions from the NINE KIDS!
Only one is mine full time though. Hope your weather gets a bit better soon. 🙂

  14. Oh, there’s our Mini Orlando again – he is so cute!! We love him so much – truly – big Orlando still has a fascination with his little friend. I thought it would die away, you know, wear off – but it hasn’t. Mini O sits on the coffee table and Big O is now to be found either on said table sitting alongside his mate, or on the floor eye-balling his mate. He still hasn’t tried to steal him, [and he tries to steal everything]…… he is content to just be alongside his new friend. I am quite amazed by it and wonder what magic you wove into this little critter 🙂

Your holiday weekend sounds so lovely – we are back to more grey or wet days sadly!
