A new beginning for Lily.

Lilly the staffordshire terrier and her 3 pups.

Lily the Staffordshire Terrier poses proudly with her three pups. After a planned and uneventful pregnancy, Lily developed very serious complications on Boxing day. A big thank you to the wonderful staff at the Northcote Animal Hospital   Without their prompt and efficient help, the outcome would be unthinkable.  It was not a completely happy ending but Lily is now in good health and three of her pups have been saved.  Lilly is being helped by her friend Katie in this picture and there are a couple of gentlestitches stress balls for Lily to chew on.Dylan holding Lily's pup
One of Lily’s pups rests comfortably in the strong and gentle hands of Dylan. Well done Lily, Dylan, Katie and their family.  Congratulations on this new beginning for 2014.

  3. I’m so glad it all came out well in the end (or at least quite well). That yarn bombed basket is inspired! ~ Linne

  6. Oh my! Lily and her puppies are dogtastic. What a wonderful start to 2014. Thank you again for the beautiful woolly red heart. I think it shall remain somewhere in the Small House rather than be packed away.

  11. Thank you. I will post when they open their eyes. They are soooo cute! Lily had to have an emergency caesarean and some puppies went over the Rainbow Bridge but all is well now. Improvised playthings are the best! 🙂

  12. OMG ! give my hugs to Lily 🙂 I can see in her eyes, how proud she is and the sadness too. Did she lose some of her litter ? Aww those tiny babies yet to open their eyes ! I am so happy they are under good care. Ha ha ! I love your laundry basket contraption 🙂 It reminds me of a broken tricycle we improvised to play when we were young 😉

  13. OMP (Oh my pig!) BABIES!! I love babies. They are so cute and adorable my friend. And, I absolutely LOVE that basket. I’m going now to check and see if daddy can fix me a contraption like that so my hooves don’t have to touch the grass 🙂 XOXO – Bacon
