yarn along amigurumi snake and abstract cats.

Todays yarn along so very generously hosted by Ginny from small things features the book I am reading by Geraldine Brooks entitled “Caleb’s Crossing”. The yarning  shows off the Australian Eastern Brown Snake which is the deadliest snake in the world (although these two are nice) and I will be posting this free and suitable for beginner amigurumists pattern by the end of the weekend. Finally there is a Mr Bowie inspired British Shorthair abstract cat pattern.  look carefully….. can you see rows of different coloured cats? I hope so!  I am sure it will look a bit better when it is finished. I will try to post that pattern too at some point! Hmmmm…… maybe I need to look into a video camera for pattern sharing. Meanwhile, come and join us at yarn along and show us what you have been reading and making.

  1. oh! they are so cute and love the red! 🙂 I’m not scared of these (you know, years ago hubby gave me a gift; a nice necklace with snakes and I love it very much to this day!),
    yours are super cute! 🙂

  2. Hi Sharon. Thank you for using Mr. Bowie as source of inspiration. We are truly honoured. Bowie says “Meow!”

  3. HaHa!! Thats funny! 🙂 You know, I think it could be done with Owls but would take a bit of
“figuring outing”. Hmmmmm……..The result would be spectacular!

  4. Cats? Ah, now I see them! Very clever, could you do this with owls? Ruby would love your snake to play with! I have read Caleb’s Crossing and now will tell you the ending (just kidding)!

  5. Aww, how can he/she be so deadly AND cute? I love, love, love the abstract cat pattern. Just what every crazy cat lady needs. I’ll take four. 🙂

  6. Snake will really be great pattern for novices in amigurumi making. I like snakes. even had them as pets 🙂
Looking forward to the pattern. I am sure will make one for my son. Green one; like green tree python!
