amigurumi Naruto and Luffy

Naruto and Luffy

We love cartoons here and my son Shane likes reading Shonen Manga particularly in the graphic novel style. Every year for his birthday he asks me for a Manga amigurumi character and I am always delighted to oblige. Pictured are Naruto and Luffy the pirate.Luffy
Note the ATTD (attention to tiny detail) in the scar on Luffy’s face and of course  his trademark straw hat.back of Nuruto
The back view of Naruto shows of all his weapon holders and other very serious fighting accessories. In a few weeks, my boy is turning 13 years old.
I am making him an amigurumi Cheshire Cat. Like the one from Alice in Wonderland. I hope he takes a long time to grow out of wanting me to make things for him.

  1. Thanks Cindi. It has been a pleasure making him an ordered amigurumi each year.
He is 13 this year and I hope I still get an order next year. 🙂

  2. These look amazing 🙂 you did a great job 🙂 I think it’s cool that he still enjoys gifts that you make too 😀 of course, I have to add that with handmade gifts as cool as yours, who wouldn’t enjoy them 😀 🙂

  3. Thanks for noticing! Apparently this “dude” wears rolled up jeans and I found a tiny pair of baby jeans at an op shop and I modified them. 🙂

  4. Thanks Ingrid. I will be posting some “how to’s” very soon for all skill levels. Children of all ages love to see their favorite characters in yarn. 🙂

  5. Thanks! Isn’t the internet great? I made a stir fry last night. I owe my new found confidence in cooking directly to you! The stir fry was great and I couldn’t believe I had made it. I took iced cup cakes to a supper last night (home made) and my next challenge is your baguettes. Homemade is so nurturing!

  6. That would be wonderful! He will never grow out of it either. Apparently Naruto is popular with all ages. I would LOVE to see of a pic of it if you make it and so would my son. 🙂
