Stash buster.

knitted scarf from goat woolA friend of mine decided to cull her wool stash and asked if I would like a bag of Goat Wool oddments.  I love knitting with Goat Wool so I said “yes” immediately before even seeing it.

I wasn’t disappointed  There was every type and color imaginable and I knew immediately it had to be a scarf. I used size 6 mm knitting needles.   I cast on 44 stitches and knitted in rib (4 plain, 4 pearl until I ran out of wool. I used the edgy bits for a fringe and voila , here is a Rainbow Scarf , soft and special!

  1. Some goats can be combed but mainly they are sheared twice a year. Cashmere, Angora, Mohair, this yarn is goat. Lovely soft dreamy wool.
